Software Engineer - Oaklahoma City, OK
Sumaria has multiple positions available that can accommodate entry to senior levels of experience.
Position Description:
The contractor shall perform software engineering activities to design, develop, and test weapon system software and hardware. Activities include:
§ Developing and modifying weapon system host software using the C++ and C# language and the C# language on a .NET platform
§ Developing and modifying weapon system firmware and software using the C/C++ and C# language
§ Preparing design documentation in accordance with project standards
§ Testing and verifying of design and product at bench tests through production
§ Preparing and presenting technical data at design reviews
§ Maintaining configuration of software designs using Perforce
§ Work with embedded software and hardware in support of Automatic Test Equipment (ATE), Operational Flight Programs (OFP) and/or Mission Planning Systems.
Duties & Responsibilities:
§ Perform software/systems requirements analysis.
§ Evaluate existing source code for errors and/or upgrades.
§ Analyze hardware/software interfaces.
§ Prepare and test software.
§ Prepare documentation in accordance with standards and procedures.
§ Work as part of a project team.
Qualifications &/or Skills:
§ Must have a good understanding of hardware/software integration and systems.
§ Should have solid knowledge of Object Oriented Design in a Windows environment.
§ Must have experience with C, C++, C#, Visual C. Experience with Labview, Jovial, Java, Perl, .NET, Visual Basic, XML, Fortran 77, HP-1000 RTE, C#, IDL, or ATLAS would be a plus.
§ Desired hardware experience includes A/D, D/A, and video interfaces; PXI based hardware systems, RS232, GPIB/HPIB IEEE-4888 interfaces; and Sun platforms.
§ Should be familiar with SEI CMMI, AS9100, and Six Sigma processes.
§ Must possess strong organizational and technical skills and a history of achieving goals.
§ Excellent written, verbal and listening communication skills.
§ Advanced level of proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Project, Excel and in database use.
§ Experience with web based design with Oracle database backend desireable.
Education Requirements:
§ A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering is required. A degree in Technology, Computer Science, or Mechanical Engineering will be considered.
Work Location: Oaklahoma City, OK Compensation will vary by experience.
Clearance Required: SECRET. Must be able to attain a SECRET clearance.
