Job Description:      

•Provide assistance and oversight for on/off-site systems networks, analysis, design, sustainment and engineering support services for unclassified and classified JBLE communications networks. Services will include continuity planning, life cycle management planning and execution. In addition, performance sustainment, enhancements, change management, network and client system administration, network and client system virtualization, vulnerability management and the integration and co-existence of these technology categories.

• Develop, design, configure, program, deploy, implement, and maintain the enterprise network systems with security, manageability, interoperability, scalability and reliability as the cornerstone to every project and service.

•Define future architecture views which include mapping business strategies to technology strategies, mapping business needs to the IT infrastructure, and recommending architectural and security standards.

•Serve as a subject matter expert advising, recommending, and defining technology solutions, capacity planning, implementation procedures, project scope, timelines, and improving systems performance.

•Manage multiple simultaneous complex enterprise technology projects. Plans resource allocation and develops work plans to meet milestones and timelines for highly visible and complex IT projects while minimizing impact and risk to the organization.

•Administer and maintain network devices and proactively observes trends or problem areas that may need correction. Must stay current with technology trends, best practices and roadmaps to provide up to date services to clients.

•Troubleshoot network devices, applications and network connectivity problems and provide support on systems issues. Develop and recommend strategies for the implementation of new software and hardware technologies.

•Advise client staff on current and planned projects (involving technologies, methodologies, tools, etc.) to improve network, client systems, and server optimization.

•Provide network change support for hardware, software, firmware or configuration events that may involve evaluating the potential impact of proposed change requests, implementation procedures, technical solutions, project plans and project support agreements.

•Implement and integrate technical requirements and design goals into the overall network design. The contractor shall prepare project implementation documentation to include requirements documents, technical solutions, project plans, project support agreements and change requests.

•Provide training and guidance on internetworking product and technology topics.

•Attend, conduct, and participate in meetings, briefings, conferences and teleconferences convened at the direction of the Government.

Required Skills/Education:

•At least 4-8 years technical experience; 4 year college degree or an additional 4 years of work related work experience; advanced studies/degree preferred.

•Comply with and maintain DoD 8570 IAT Level II, i.e., Security+ Certification

•Possess an MCSA Server 2008 (or newer) Certification

•Knowledge and experience of: Server and client operating systems; Virtual Desktop Infrastructure environments (VMWare, Citrix, etc.); data backup and recovery of systems/applications; SQL databases; SAN/NAS administration; VPN client implementation and use; Active Directory; Distributed File Shares; Group Policy, System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), Host Based Security System (HBSS), and Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS)
