Job Summary:

The Executive Airlift Communications Network (EACN) cyber security team provides End Point technologies support and expertise including, but not limited to, McAfee HBSS, MS EMET, Splunk, Tenable ACAS scanners and Security Center, IDS/IPS, Firewall, and more. The Cyber Security HBSS Administrator maintains the current installation, fully configures, monitors, and performs all necessary updates to the HBSS system. Deploy components of HBSS identified by the Government, as necessary, and develop appropriate documentation for the production of the reports required for HBSS among other technical cyber security responsibilities.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrated experience with deploying, managing, and troubleshooting McAfee HBSS clients.
  • Demonstrated experience with managing and troubleshooting ePO.
  • Work with the government to develop and maintain HBSS SOPs, implementation planning, overall architecture, and how EACN will ensure HBSS will be fully utilized.
  • Develop HBSS NIPRNet and SIPRNet network diagrams.
  • Identify gaps in knowledge and skill sets to establish training requirements through policy, unless superseded by DoD mandates.
  • Identify the various entities/sub groups of the organization’s operating domain(s)
  • Define and develop a Continuity of Operations (COOP) and Disaster Recovery (DRP) plans.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the IT security industry including awareness of new or revised security solutions, improved security processes and the development of new attacks and threat vectors.
  • Lead root cause analysis of critical events for improving preventative and reactive processes.
  • Experience using trouble ticketing solutions such as Remedy.

Secondary Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Assist the team managing the ACAS (Nessus) Servers. This includes ACAS software configurations, maintaining, scanning, and reporting.
  • Managing and monitoring firewalls and providing reports as required.
  • Utilize Splunk to analyze log data looking for malicious activity, creating complex searches, reports, and dashboards.
  • Monitor IDS/IPS solutions, and provide detailed reports.
  • Perform system administration on HBSS and integrate HBSS alerts, logs and, data feeds into defined processes and procedures such as intrusion detection analysis, auditing, etc.
  • Constantly work to increase EACNs security posture with new technologies, while maintaining current toolsets and utilizing them to the fullest.

Education:

  • BS preferred in computer science, information systems, information assurance, or equivalent work experience.
  • DISA HBSS 201 and 301 courses required.
  • Splunk administrator certification a plus.
  • Certified Ethical Hacker certificate a plus.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years or more working with McAfee HBSS (ePO).
  • Active Secret Security Clearance.
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II – CompTIA Security+ CE minimum.
  • DISA HBSS 201 and 301 Required Training (Or ability to get it in the first three months of start date).
  • Intermediate Experience working with Windows and Linux Server Operating Systems.
  • Strong skillset with MS Office Products.
