Job Description:

Support AMC/A2 GI&S Program Management for AMC intelligence units and help coordinate between Headquarters Air Force (HAF) and multiple elements of the AMC staff.

Resource, utilize, and analyze existing raster and vector datasets available from NSG, DoD, Air Force, and other authoritative data providers, for inclusion in intelligence analysis products.

Leverage existing datasets to tailor analysis options and GEOINT products for intelligence analysts to answer specific problem-sets. The datasets utilized in this task will be made available to 'virtual users' via the AIS web-GIS enterprise.

Provide support for analyzing a wide variety of scenarios in a geospatial context using industry-leading tools and techniques. Analysis may support a wide variety of mission objectives such as intelligence analysis, threat prediction and response, emergency response, security, land use, site planning, traffic routing, etc. Analysis efforts may require a multitude of techniques including geocoding, network analysis, photogrammetry, cartography, and imagery analysis, including but not limited to, change detection, etc. Other forms of geospatial analysis may include buffer generation, overlay analysis, proximity analysis, area/perimeter/length calculations, as well as modeling and statistical analysis (Interpolation, autocorrelation, nearest neighbor, cluster, and kernel density).

Applying geospatial statistics to large datasets in order to assess statistical correlations between real-world events and other geospatial information. Analysis efforts may result in cartographic mapping deliverables including digital and/or hardcopy map production.

Develop a variety of documents in support of the AMC/A2 GI&S program. Examples include inputs to GI&S Air Force Instructions (AFIs), certification and accreditation documents, requirements documentation and bullet background papers on the GPL and 4D-V programs. Provide update briefings and in-progress review documentation to senior leadership when requested.

REQUIRED SKILLS/EDUCATION:

  • 2 to 5 years of ArcGIS experience
  • MUST have active TOP SECRET/SSBI security clearance
  • Relevant 4 year college degree or an additional 4 years of experience
  • GEOINT collection capabilities National (NGA) and Tactical Air platforms
  • EMS, PRISUM, GETS, ARcGIS, and SOCET GXP
  • Full spectrum GEOINT exploitation (SAR, MSI, HIS and Thermal)
  • Applied GEOINT for Strategic and Tactical operational planning
  • MDMP process
  • KML, KMZ, and SHP files
  • Must be able to use Google Earth and Arc Earth
  • Ability to read, understand, speak, and write English fluently
  • Excellent writing skills
