Job Description:

This position is the Program Cost Estimator for Medium Altitude UAS Division’s Advanced Technologies Branch supporting the MQ-9 Reaper Unmanned Aircraft System.

Duties include performing cost estimates for DoD, AF, HQ AFMC, and LCMC for the Program’s initiatives and processes, as outlined in task orders. Cost estimates may be in support of annual or biennial budget estimates, most probable life cycle cost (MPLCC) estimates, “what-if” estimates, and Cost As an Independent Variable (CAIV), Reduction in Total Ownership Costs (RTOC), business case analysis, or other economic analyses standard to government and industry Acquisition cost estimates shall include all phases of Air Force acquisition programs from inception through disposal. All estimates shall be documented as specified in contract task order Performance Work Statement. Process phases include: task definition and planning; data research, collection and analysis; review, presentation, and documentation. Estimates shall be done using the most appropriate technique available for each cost element of the estimate.

Must have knowledge and experience with the Air Force Instruction 65 series, and DoD/AFMC/Defense Finance & Accounting Service (DFAS) financial management instructions and associated regulations. Also, experience in Comprehensive Cost and Requirement System (CCARS), Commander’s Resource Integration System (CRIS), Shared Data Warehouse (SDW), FM Suite System, and BQ (HO69) accounting systems. Travel is expected less than 10% of the time.

Required Skills/Education:

Minimum nine (9) years' experience in functional area without a degree; or three (3) years' experience in functional area and possess a Bachelor's degree in a field relevant to functional area; or a relevant Associate's degree and seven (7) years' experience in functional area. At least eighteen (18) months of that experience must have been performed on DoD programs/projects.
