Position Summary:

In this role you will perform system administration functions such as user account maintenance, application and OS patches and updates, antivirus updates, security/event log review and analysis, network documentation, backup operations, hardware issue escalation, user training, and user support on Windows systems.

Job Description:

  • Install, configure, audit, manage and troubleshoot servers, PCs and other hardware systems and associated software as necessary.
  • Apply networking and security knowledge to assist in buildup of the network(s). Support Microsoft applications and workstation clients, database applications, and other such user applications installed on the network and computer systems.
  • Ensure compliance with operations and security policies while keeping systems viable and available for authorized users.
  • Possess knowledge regarding computer system compliance requirements including military and contractor rules, regulations and protocols governing information management techniques and methodologies and documentation.

Required Skills/Education:

Level II

  • Active DoD Secret Security Clearance
  • 5 years or more years of experience in a job with a primary function of supporting Linux workstations or servers
  • System hardening experience and STIG compliance
  • Ability to configure, build, and install open source software from source, and verify that the process was accomplished properly

Level III

  • Active DoD Secret Security Clearance
  • 8 years or more years of experience in a job with a primary function of supporting Linux workstations or servers
  • System hardening experience and STIG compliance
  • Ability to configure, build, and install open source software from source, and verify that the process was accomplished properly
