Job Title: Acquisition Program Manager SME

Job Description:

Overview:

This position will be involved with multi-disciplinary teams supporting studies and analyses efforts to multiple government system acquisition program management offices. Will serve as a consultant to government personnel on program management and acquisition strategy. Will provide management support towards the execution of the Medium Altitude UAS Program contract.

Job Responsibilities:

-           Providing acquisition management consultant services to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of acquisition services in support of the customer’s mission. Services include some or all of the following:

   --       Requirements, program strategies, and acquisition plan development

   --       RFP, SOW, and proposal review/analysis

   --       Milestone preparation

   --       Other related services associated with the acquisition process

-           Assist in the development of capstone milestone documents IAW the OSD and USAF acquisitions regulations and directives

   --       Advise team members and program office personnel on documentation requirements and strategies

   --       Write portions of capstone documents to support milestone efforts

-           Assist in the development of program’s preparation towards a milestone decision brief

   --       Advise team members and program office personnel on requirements and strategies to achieve MDA approval

   --       Assist in developing briefing slides and talking points to achieve MDA approval

-           Support with Medium Altitude UAS program contract execution

   --       Assist in day-to-day execution of the overall contract management of cost, schedule, and performance

   --       Assist with business development opportunities and capture of new work

Requirements:

-           Acquisition Professional with 2-3 tours in acquisition billets

-           Participation in development, coordination, and execution of a program milestone

-           Clear understanding of the OSD and USAF Acquisition organization and processes

-           Excellent communications skills, both written and verbally

-           DAWIA Level III in Program Management – Highly Desired

-           Experience as a Program Manager of a ACAT program – Highly Desired

- -         Experience and certification in a secondary acquisition discipline (e.g., Life Cycle Logistics) – Desired

Required Skills/Education:

A relevant Bachelor's degree and sixteen (16) years' experience in functional area; or twelve (12) years' experience in functional area and possess a Master's degree in a field relevant to functional area; or twenty (20) years in functional area without a degree. At least ten (10) years of that experience must have been performed on DoD programs/projects.
