Junior Network Administrator

Department: IT Support
Office: Corporate Headquarters
Location: Danvers, MA

Position Summary:
This position will be responsible for providing support for local and remote end-users, including troubleshooting problems and advising on the appropriate action. This position requires a strong customer service background with the ability to present information effectively and possess a professional and friendly phone manner. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills are required.

Responsibilities & Duties may include but are not limited to:  

  • Respond to Help Desk calls for support and track all calls in an HD database  
  • Troubleshoot problems in person, telephone, remote desktop or via e-mail in a timely and accurate fashion and also provide end-user assistance where and when necessary. 
  • Escalate issues to senior technician when needed
  • Track hardware/software and inventory/assets
  • Deployment of new hardware and software.
  • Train and support computer users.
  • Add and delete users/groups/computers from active directory and exchange
  • Support & Maintain hardware (printers, telephones, networks, copiers and fax machines).
  • Install, configure, upgrade and support PC hardware and software, maintain Microsoft Windows in an Active Directory environment.
  • Monitor & manage system resources in an Active Directory environment (CPU usage, disk usage, tape backup systems, and response times to maintain operating efficiency).
  • Participate in documentation of network related policies, user and system procedures

Qualifications: 

  • Two - Three years working in LAN/WAN environment with Windows, Microsoft Office, Windows Server, Exchange servers, Active Directory, TCP/IP protocols, wireless networks, firewalls and web server platforms, including IIS and SharePoint.
  • Microsoft Certification is a plus.
