Position Summary: This position is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the local area and wide-area networks (LAN & WAN) and supports all organizational PC users, Computer Hardware and Software.

Responsibilities & Duties may include but are not limited to: 

  •  Assisting regional office support personnel.
  •  Support & Maintain Computer hardware (printers, telephones, networks, copiers and fax machines).
  •  Support & Maintain Computer software (Windows, Exchange, Microsoft Office and SharePoint).
  •  Documenting user and system procedures.
  •  Ensuring system procedures are followed in detail.
  •  Install, configure, upgrade and support PC hardware and software
  •  Maintain router, switches, wireless networks, firewalls
  •  Maintain network security authentication, (application security, event investigations and compliance enforcement).
  •  Manage & support secure Virtual Private Networks (VPNs).
  •  Manage servers in an Active Directory environment, ensuring that each server has 100% uptime.
  •  Monitor & manage system resources (CPU usage, disk usage, tape backup systems, and response times to maintain operating efficiency).
  •  Participate in documentation of LAN network related policies and procedures.
  •  Perform system administration functions for the company-wide e-mail system.
  •  Perform system backup and recovery procedures.
  •  Plan for deployment of new hardware and software.
  •  Respond to Help Desk calls for support and track all calls in an HD database
  •  Solve any network and/or server related issues reported by clients as quickly as possible.
  •  Track hardware/software and inventory/assets
  •  Train and support computer users
  •  Troubleshoot issues with networks, web services, mail services and overall aspects of various application systems.


  •  3 or more years of demonstrated and proven experience working with SharePoint and InfoPath forms. Provide administrative support, user training, site documentation, permissions and general site maintenance for SharePoint solutions.  Provision new project sites as requested.
  •  Provide documentation and training that promotes proper site use, administration, and sustainability. Effectively communicate and interact with site users, site developers and IT personnel.

Required Qualifications: 

  • BS degree and three or more (3+) years of experience
  • Three or more (3+) years practical/hands-on experience in LAN/WAN environment and in administering and supporting Windows, Microsoft Office, Windows Server, Exchange servers, Active Directory, TCP/IP protocols, routed and switched networks, wireless networks, firewalls and web server platforms, including IIS. SharePoint.
  • Three or more years (3+) of demonstrated and proven experience working with SharePoint and InfoPath forms.
  • Microsoft Certification is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail; ability to multi-task.
  • Experience within the Dept of Defense Federal Contractor industry beneficial
