Job Title: Special Projects Program Manager SME

Job Description:

This position will be an Acquisition SME for the MQ-1 Predator/MQ-9 Reaper Program Office, and will perform quick reaction capability and/or rapid reaction activities and integration of new capabilities to an existing weapon system.

Position requires the application of knowledge and experience in acquisition management and program management philosophy, policies and procedures to Air Force systems, subsystems, and equipment procurement activities, source selection activities, post-award project/program management tasks, and acquisition programs throughout their life cycles in support of special mission capabilities. It will require employment of integration, communication, coordination, organizational, and planning expertise to technical and acquisition efforts across a broad spectrum of functional disciplines. Plans, organizes, and assists in managing critical aspects of the development, production, and/or deployment of systems, subsystems, and equipment. Duties include assisting in the coordination and integration of such aspects of systems acquisition as engineering, procurement, financial management, environmental management, configuration, test, manufacturing, and integrated logistics support in order to rapidly assist in the implementation of program direction.

Required Skills/Education:

Minimum twelve (12) years' experience in functional area and possess a Master's degree in a field relevant to functional area; or a Bachelor's degree and sixteen (16) years' experience in functional area. At least ten (10) years of that experience must have been performed on DoD programs/projects. 

Highly Desired:  knowledge of Waterfall and Agile Project Management methodology; experience in managing projects following Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, Extreme Programming, and SAFe.
