F-16 Structural Engineering Support

Job Title: F-16 Structural Engineering Support

Security Clearance Required: Must have Active Secret clearance to apply.

Job Description:

  • Accomplish studies, reviews and analysis of technical problems/malfunctions affecting assigned equipment generated from a variety of sources
  • Recommend appropriate corrective actions
  • When corrective actions are presented by using commands, contractors, and others, evaluate for technical adequacy and economic feasibility; if feasible, determine method of implementation
  • Provide troubleshooting F-16 structural problems, developing improvements leading to the resolution of issues identified, integration, verification, qualification for airworthiness certification, and fielding of repairs and modifications but not limited to other systems and components as defined in, or derived from, program requirements
  • Assist with recommending and developing executable programs to be considered for use in ensuring the operation and evaluation of assigned systems.
  • Assist Government equipment specialists, integrators and engineers in conducting special research projects as assigned
  • Support the USAF F-16 Chief Engineer in all tasks related to this effort
  • Support trial installations, kit proofs, and TCTO/tech data verification; report findings, kit issues, and corrective actions and make recommendations to the Integrated Program Team they are assigned
  • Support feasibility studies and technical evaluations to ensure that systems, subsystems and equipment being developed are mutually compatible and serve to meet overall operational and technical requirements.
  • Interface with all aspects and levels of program IPTs
  • Participate in the various standing F-16 activities
  • Participate in formal and informal F-16 program reviews

Required Skills/Education:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in the structural engineering field. Minimum of BS degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering from an ABET accredited university.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree
